The Old Legendary Myth
When somebody says the word ‘Dragon’ we mostly think about western presentations of dragons like “Hydra”.
The word dragon translates to ‘flying lizard’ in Chinese. A dragon is a large serpent that is winged, horned, four-legged and can breath fire. The idea of it has been here since the high middle ages.
Dragons are split into two interpretations . The ones who want to destroy the world and the
ones that want to nurture the world.
In ancient China, dragons are worshipped, shown to be lucky and are associated with the imperial house and knowledgeable(or) noble people. But in ancient Greece and Medieval Europe, slaying a dragon gives you a lot of respect.
Ophidiophobia, the fear of snakes, is present in every human being. Even if you are cool with snakes, you can feel goosebumps when it slithers on your skin. Some people think that snakes are descendants of the mythological legend. Some of us also say that Ophidiophobia is not the fear of snakes but the respect towards the serpents.
Typhon is worshipped as the feathered serpent god in Aztec and Mayan pantheons. This entity often takes the form of a dragon-like body when it takes its Godly decisions.
To sum this all up, Dragons are cool, even though it's an old idea.
